Call me Jenny
Over the course of my multifaceted writing career, I’ve developed my expertise as a storyteller in almost every medium.
I’m an award-winning creative with more than 7 years experience in pharmaceutical advertising.
Launch brands? I’ve worked on three.
That SKYRIZI song you can’t get out of your head? That’s partly on me.
Developing a connected broadcast campaign across two indications with a shared tagline? We did that—and it was beautiful.
Want social media assets that stop the scroll? I’ve got you.
Authentic, documentary-style patient stories that inspire behavioral change through emotional connection? That’s my specialty.
Before pivoting to advertising, I built a successful 10-year career as a freelance marketing writer, creating content for The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Penn Medicine, Anthropologie, and Five Below.
I worked as a journalist for almost 10 years, starting as a TV news writer before becoming a beat reporter in the Philadelphia suburbs, where my work covering the controversial move of the Barnes Foundation from its original suburban location to its current home on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway earned a state newspaper award.
I was lucky enough to work as a magazine writer in the 90s, both on staff at Philadelphia Magazine and as a freelancer for Vogue, Marie Claire, Glamour, Mademoiselle, Men’s Health, and Cosmopolitan. It was the last golden age of long-form magazine writing—and my personal essay, “My Bubbe, Myself” received an honorable mention in Best American Essays 1997.
I also did a parenting blog thing for a while called Mother Words, which reflected on contemporary Jewish parenting. Mother Words originally appeared in the Jewish Exponent.
I write fiction as well and recently completed my first novel, working on my second.
